Laura Cahen

Hootananny Brixton, SW2 1DF , [Venue Details]

Fusing acoustic and electronic elements

Inspired by the likes of Laurie Anderson, Laura Marling, and Adrianne Lenker, French singer-songwriter Laura Cahen fuses acoustic and electronic elements to create emotionally rich and self-reflective sonic landscapes.

Monday,
27 Apr 2026
Doors open @7.00pm

Through poetic love songs, she addresses themes such as womanhood, ecology, homosexuality, and equal rights.

Following the release of her third studio album, "de l'autre côté", which she co-produced with Mike Lindsay (Tunng, LUMP) and Josephine Stephenson (Ex:Re, Damon Albarn, Arctic Monkeys), and which was released by [PIAS] in January 2025, Laura Cahen will release a digital reissue titled "side by side": 5 new tracks, each featuring international collaborators: Shura, Hand Habits, This is the Kit, Saint Saviour, and Josephine Stephenson.

Ten years into her career, Laura has toured extensively in France and parts of Europe and America, performing over hundreds of concerts.

Don't miss her unique UK appearance, where she will perform in a light and stripped-down duo with multi-instrumentalist and composer Josephine Stephenson.
